This grand tour covers most of the country. It includes the most important cities of Morocco. You start by Casablanca where you land. You will then go to explore the Moroccan Imperial Cities: Rabat, Fes, Meknes, and Marrakech. You’ll also visit the fascinating Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert, the valleys, the gorges, the ocean and the countryside where you will experience the contrasting yet similar gracious hospitality of the Moroccan people.

Day 1 : Arrival to Casablanca airport - Rabat

You will meet your driver at the Casablanca/ Rabat airport. Time allowing, you may visit the King Hassan II Mosque then transfer to Rabat. After you check in to your hotel, if time allowed, you will visit the Mausoleum of the Royals and the unfinished Hassan Tower. You will also visit the King’s palace gardens and Kasbah Oudaya.
Day 2 : Rabat - Meknes - Fes

Right after breakfast, you will drive to the second imperial city of Morocco. You will venture to the archeological site of Volubilis. These Roman Ruins are well preserved and have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. You will continue driving to the last imperial city of Morocco. Meknes is recognized by its tall ramparts and large gates. Bab Mansour is one of the most impressive gates in the whole of Morocco. We’ll carry on for a stop at Sahrij Swani and the city’s granary which was used to store food and water. Located in Meknes, is also the mausoleum of the longest reigning sultan of Morocco, Moulay Ismail. Before heading to Fes our last stop will be the El-Hedim Square.
Day 3 : Fes Guided tour

The medieval medina of Fes is one of Morocco’s top cities in producing handmade crafts; in fact many of the ancient methods are still in use today. After breakfast, you meet our local certified guide who will start the tour by visiting the King’s Palace. We’ll drive to the Southern Tower – the highest point of the city for a panoramic view of the Old Medina. Following this, you’ll visit a clay cooperative workshop where artisans will demonstrate how they handcraft Moroccan mosaics and other pottery. Here, our driving tour ends and you embark on a walking tour beginning with three historic monuments. Al-Qarawiyyin University is the first university in the world. Built by Fatima Al-Fihri in the 8th century, it is one of the city’s most admired monuments. Madrassa BouInania was built by Sultan BouInan in the 1350’s and stands as the most architecturally refined of Fes’ theological colleges. It is known for its massive brass entrance doors and its interior courtyard which contains a masterpiece of elaborate zellige tile work. You will explore the Moulay Idriss 2nd Mausolee to see its cedar-wood doors and richly decorated vestibule. You will end the day by visiting the leather tannery district of Fes where you will see local leather experts work goat, camel, and cow hides in small stone vessels filled with different colored dyes.
Day 4 : Fes - Ifrane - Merzouga

This day’s drive From Fes to Merzouga will be exciting and fabulous. We will pass through the Middle Atlas Mountains to the city of Ifran, aka-the Switzerland of Morocco- with 1665 metres (5,460) in elevation- is a charming town known for its Alpine climate. We will head to Azrou Forest – the biggest cedar forest in Africa where we might be lucky to feed the rare Barbary macaque monkeys in the forest. We will travel through the fascinating Tiz N’ Talghamt pass and Ziz Gorge. A stop for lunch with a Berber family in one of the villages before we continue towards the famous dunes in Merzouga where you’ll switch from car to camelback for a trip through the dunes and night of music under the stars.
Day 5 : Merzouga - Gorges Todgha - Daddes Valley

We wake up early to cherish the lovely sunrise in the sand dunes. After showering and having breakfast in the desert, we will stop at Errissani to visit the market and enjoy a local treat “madfouna” – a nomadic style pizza. In the same area you will visit a local Fossil Museum, which is known for containing some fossils dating back 500 million years ago. We drive to Todgha Gorges, home to a series of limestone river canyons. You will visit the Jewish Quarter with a short walk through local gardens. After lunch, we will continue through Dades Valley to visit the clay castles and the rocky “Monkey Toes”. You will spend the night at a local inn of the valley.
Day 6 : Daddes Valley - Ouarazazate - Ait Benhaddou

After breakfast, we will continue through the Rose Valley with a stop at a local rose water extraction cooperative and follow up with a visit to a neighboring open-air market. We will drive to Ouarazazate where you will explore the Hollywood of Africa and discover the film studios of well-known movies like The Mummy, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones. After a short drive you’ll find ourselves at the must see world heritage site Ait Benhadou for a walking guided tour then check in to your hotel.
Day 7 : Ait Benhadou - Taliuoin - Taroudant - Agadir

After breakfast we start our drive to the Atlantic coast. We will stop at a rare Safran cooperative in the town of Taliouine. Lunch will be served in a traditional restaurant, after a guided tour in the old medina of Taroudant known as”little Marrakech”. We will continue to Agadir city to enjoy the view the ancient Kasbah and panoramic view of the city. You will check in to your hotel and explore the city by night. On our way, we may stop to witness goats climbing Argan trees and visit the local women Argan oil cooperative to discover the extraction process of Argan oil.
Day 8 : Agadir - Essaouira - Marrakech

After breakfast, we will drive to Essaouira through the Atlantic coast. Accompanied by a guide at the windy city, you will visit the Skala fortress, the souks, the Mellah, and the Thuya wood carving workshops and the port. You will enjoy the fresh fish for lunch then head to Marrakech. After you check in to your hotel, you will wrap up your day with free time.
Day 9 : Marrakech Guided Tour

After breakfast, you will meet a certified local guide who will lead a walking tour of the Red city. You will visit Bahia Palace, built by Bahmad Grand vizir of Marrakech. As you discover the palace, you will enjoy the incredible mosaics and stucco styles while hearing some interesting stories about the 4 wives and 24 concubines. The next sight is the extraordinary architecture of Saadian Tomb, royal necropolis of 17th century. Visit the famous souks of Marrakesh and enjoy the sights and sounds of this bustling marketplace. The large souk carries a variety of goods; from spices to traditional clothing and handmade artisanal crafts, there is something for everyone. You will have the opportunity to exercise your haggling skills while purchasing unique hand crafted items. You will finish your tour at Jamaa El-fana, the most animated square in Marrakech-frequented by snake charmers, monkey entertainers, fortune tellers, food stalls, and musicians. Wrap up your day with free time.
Day 10 : Marrakech - Ouzoud Waterfalls - Marrakech

At 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel or at a designated point into the beautiful High Atlas Mountains to Ouzoud Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in North Africa in a 2 hours driving journey. We will pass through a landscape of rolling foothills and olive groves, and enjoy our time and relax on 330-foot (110-meter) waterfalls. We will cross the river on a hand-powered barge, and take a break in the cafes at the edge of the water. You may see the Barbary apes that live in the forest along the river valley. On our way back you will continue to explore spectacular mountain scenery with a chance to spot native wildlife in their natural habitat.
Day 11 : Marrakech - Ourika Valley - Marrakech

At 9 am, we will drive across the Haouz Plains, and visit an Argan oil women’s cooperative to explore the extraction of the liquid gold and how it is transformed into cosmetic products. We will continue to Tnin Ourika, one of the largest Berber Souks in the area, where all the Villagers in the Ourika Valley come once a week to trade & buy their goods. We will cross Ourika River to the stream up to the Berber village of Setti Fatma, to enjoy the fresh and warm weather under the shade of the walnut trees. If you prefer hiking, we will walk around the river to explore the Valley while the local hiking guides are available for hire to show you some stunning cascades and back. You may choose to relax in one of the cafés on the riverbank and enjoy the rest of the day listening to the sound of the stream with the High Atlas Mountains as a backdrop while you can order an affordable lunch. In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech.
Day 12 : Departure

This is the end of your journey with good memories and warm wishes, we hope to serve again soon in Morocco. Your driver will transfer you to the departing airport for a safe flight.
